Quick answers

Title & closing FAQ

What's the difference between owner's and lender's title insurance?

Lender's title insurance protects the lender's interest in the property up to the loan amount and is typically required for financing. Owner's title insurance protects you, the buyer, for as long as you own the home, defending your ownership against hidden defects like undisclosed liens, fraud or recording errors.

What is escrow?

Escrow is a neutral holding account. We hold earnest money and closing funds and only disburse them when every condition of the contract is met, protecting both buyer and seller during the transaction.

What is Remote Online Notarization (RON)?

RON lets you sign and notarize your closing documents online over secure video, instead of in person. Availability varies by state and transaction; ask us whether RON is an option for your closing.

How long does a closing take?

Timelines vary by transaction, but a clean residential purchase often closes within a few weeks of contract. We move fast, communicate proactively, and flag any title issues early so your date doesn't slip.
